Star always had the perfect Golden personality -- intelligent, loving and people-oriented, with great sensitivity to the emotions of the human beings around her.
Her father, "Bounder", began a new career at the age of 8 as a therapy dog for a local nursing home. Star had that same loving personality. If you needed a friend, Star was the one to pick!
Star's offspring carry on with her wonderful temperament -- She has several certified therapy dog offspring, and also one son who graduated from the Wisconsin Academy of Graduate Service Dogs. You can see a couple of her offpspring on our "Other Stars" page -- "Dichi Lady Liberty, CGC, TDI" and "Shiloh".
Star's hips were registered with the OFA and rated "GOOD". Her eyes and heart were also registered. She had year-round black pigment, full dentition, and a correct bite.
Star lived her "Golden Years" with her friend Diane Deming
and went peacefully to the bridge at age 11 in 2008.
She is missed by all who knew her. |
